DanceFit Californiaâ„¢ 50+ Programs

 

"DanceFit California" is an innovative program, which combines dance and fitness in a stimulating environment specialized for the mature 50+ crowd.  Classes incorporate high-energy moves with low-impact on the body.  Instructors emphasize the foundational elements of movement for those new to dance, while incorporating cardio-fitness choreographed to upbeat music for the more advanced students.

 

 

 

Dance to a Healthy Beatâ„¢ Kids Programs

 

"Dance to a Healthy Beat" is a fun dance program designed for children, ages 5 - 18.  This program was founded on the premise that all children should have the opportunity to lead a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity.  The program is dedicated to offering the children of Southern California quality dance instruction at low costs.   It also offers scholarship programs to eligible students. 

 

 

 

Teeny Bopper Toddlersâ„¢ Dance Programs

"Teeny Bopper Toddlers" is an exciting dance program designed specifically for toddlers ages 1-4.   Classes focus on youngsters during their early cognitive, emotional and social development.  Instructors lead classes with an emphasis on melodic music to assist the child in learning effective motor skills including hand-eye coordination, rhythm in movement and memory.

            YOGA

 

Yoga is a form of physical exercise practiced widely for health and relaxation. Techniques include breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures.

            ZUMBA®


ZUMBA® is an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance and performed primarily to Latin American dance music.

            HIP HOP

 

Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music, which includes a wide range of styles, primarily breaking, locking, and popping.  This style is combined with studio choreographed movement.

            PILATES

 

Pilates is a physical fitness system of exercises using special apparatus, designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness.

            SPECIALIZED GROUP SESSIONS 

 

Classes are designed for people at various stages of life including toddlers ages 1-4, children ages 5-18 and adults ages 50 and over.  THE DANCE CAPITAL targets these three specialized group through partnerships with organizations throughout Southern California.
